 The ad-supported versions of 5.1.0 and earlier had the harmless and easily removable WhenU Save! adware. Apparently the iMesh company bought the BearShare franchise at about the same time as the staged $30 million one-day "lawsuit" and paid the "settlement", then promptly installed the Zango spyware in all versions, including "Lite". This new version of BearShare starts hooking up to multiple spy sites in Florida and Israel even as you start to install it and refuses to continue if you do not permit the spying to continue.  |
