A jana server is a proxy server!

In Germany very popular!

But I never heard that bearshare worked with the Jana sever!

Bearshare has no proxy support yet, no HTTP1.1, SOCKS4 or SOCKS5 proxy support. Perhaps you ask your admin about a direct internet connection... or if necessary, as last possibility, use another Gnutella client.
Hmm, which Gnutella clients do have proxy support?

You may wanna try httptunneling, it may work but I'm not really sure.
