Well I thought I was paying for a legimate service so agreed on the *****00 on May 4. Now, I'm having $7.95 taken out of my account every month.

I sure as hell don't remember reading about that!

TameBeast July 14th, 2007 02:50 PM

Why did this forum take out *****00 as soon as I posted?

TameBeast July 14th, 2007 02:51 PM

One dollar? (3rd try is a charm).

TameBeast

This forum cannot take money from your account, you sound like one of those naive newbies that goes to a scam site then throw their payment details at them. Now you can't remember who you threw those precious financial details at.

Scam sites are run by crooks that sell free P2P apps to novices like you, and they are now probably charging you a monthly subscription fee for a lifetime membership to a non-existent club.

Some advice, cancel your credit card and get a new one.

Well Booby, I never said THIS FORUM took my money, now did I?

I merely came on here and inquired about how much, if any, Bearshare charges. There are, apparently, 3 or 4 Bearshare's out there.

Don't even tell me I'm a "newbie". I started downloading music before you were discovering your boyhood and left hand.... at Napster, Audiogalaxy and everywhere else.

When I asked about "why did this forum take out one dollar", I meant the TYPED WORD....ONE DOLLAR....NOT THE MONEY.

The scam site that you are so sure of is MusicLab, LLC and I have no problem downloading 2,500 megabytes in a 3 hour period with them.

Sure hope you're not a computer freak because you would jump to conclusions about whatever was not functioning and probably try to jam an IDE ribbon into a SATA drive while trying to figure out where your chipset is located.

ukbobboy01 July 14th, 2007 06:00 PM

Well TameBeast

You are a bit of a wild animal, and yes I know the difference between SATA and PATA and I can use an IDE cable.

So, you’re not a newby and you have not been ripped off.

Therefore, what is your problem?

If you are getting a legitimate service for $7.50 per month, and you downloaded 2,500MB in 3 hours, then what are you complaining about?

Be happy.

2,500 MB in 3 hours eh?

I'd complain too....I usually download that in less than an hour, and that's for free!!!!!!!

PATA = parallel ATA
SATA = serial ATA

I prefer the round IDE cables myself....and usually OC my machines to about 10% to make things nicely sing....set my pagefile to a static 1.5x of my ram..chipset...oh yeah, that's what you install as soon as you boot up the first time so that your OS can communicate with the MoBo...trick question there, as that's software...of course your going to define that as drivers, and I guess that's also correct....my machine here has a nice SouthBridge chipset on the board which handles the ICH5R setup for a nice integrated RAID setup which nicely skips the IDE bus (and hence is quicker)....

one dollar eh?

that's what UK and I usually bet as to who will be the next troll of the month!:rofl:

we have a forum script which edits out certain words and such....do YOU understand that?

if not, please stand in line for the MOTM award...

TameBeast tame the beast in you please. If you have an issue with BearShare, then let's discuss it. Otherwise, please refrain from blaming the forum for what you forgot to read before posting. ;) :)

Peerless can take care of your concerns, if not Aaron Walkhouse, one way or the other. lol :D
