Bearshare Freezing

Hello all, Josh here.

Well I have the newest version of Bearshare, and i have a paid account to take my music with me, anyways---Bearshare everytime i get it on, after about a minute, it freezes, just it, not my whole computer, but the program, it doesnt respond and then i have to close it and bring it back up.

Anyone have a solution ?

We don't offer support for the later (paid) versions of BS.
Versions of BS 5 were the last to use the Gnutella network... this forum only offers support for Gnutella clients.

You could see whether your version of BS offers tech support.

Unfortunately versions of BearShare after version 6 do not run on the Gnutella network. Files are downloaded for free on the Gnutella network, no need to pay for them. It's a mutual file sharing network. We all share files with each other. The mutual file-sharing is how we find & swap files. All files on Gnutella network are files shared by users like me & you.

Whereas the version of BearShare you have at moment runs on a commercial network where you need to pay for what you download. Not really much different to going to a music pay-site. Difference being lower quality of music files on the commercial network BearShare versions 6-8 use. I presume you are using BearShare version 8.
