Outlook - List of Deleted emails
 

Can anyone kindly send me an easy method for dummies how to access a

list of all the emails I have deleted? And how, then, to clear that list please?

I use Outlook in Windows 8 on my Acer laptop.

don't know about your version of outlook (I use the simple express version), but you should simply be able to right clixor on the deleted items folder and choose empty...you can of course first simply left click on the folder and all deleted emails are visible...

Whenever i send emails in Outlook (I use Windows 8) they are automatically listed in the deleted items folder.
Why does this happen? And does it mean that the emails have been deleted without being sent?

Please, kindly help.

I have looked over your problem and, I must say, I cannot offer any direct help because like Peerless I use MS Outlook Express and I do not (and will not) use Windows 8 (this O/S is not popular).

That said, may I suggest reading the following:-

Windows 8 for Seniors For Dummies (Book) by Mark Justice Hinton (2012): Waterstones.com

and

Outlook 2013 For Dummies (Book) by Bill Dyszel (2013): Waterstones.com

Please do not take offence at the books titles, I have quite a few of these "dummy" books myself, because some of them are very good and tend to break down the subject into easy to understand steps.

Finally, please note that I cannot personally vouch for the two named books because, as said before, they cover software that I do not and will not use.

Many thks for yr kindness in replying to my question. I value yr opinion, particularly as Windows 8 is giving me a hard time to get used to it. WDWS XP was so much more direct and straightforward, but my old computer refused to take on any new updates, such as WDWS 7 or 8, so I opted for a new laptop. I never suspected that 8 would be so difficult to get to grips with! Thanks again and kind regards.

I wonder if you are confused a bit...

I know on my new (ermm...used actually) laptop running W7 outlook express is not supported so I had to opt for windows live email...

as far as things showing up in the deleted items folder, perhaps you have that sender blocked...

there should also be a sent items folder, and you can look in there for what items have actually been sent...
