cancelling the membership ?

Not knowing what I was getting in for I downloaded Lime Wire for movie downloads, problem is I don't have enough Mb's of downloads.
In trying to log in I keep getting directed to the joining page every time, and as I tried all the usernames I know there was more than a few.

How can I get a refund and cancell the membership that is a 30 day trial when "every" contact mail is returned to me via an automated response with the same thing on it.

Anyone know how to get my cash back ?

Looks like you have been scammed. check out this link. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=28751

The basic version of LimeWire is free.

Contact your credit card company and explain it to them. Most have policies in place for situations like this.

I would uninstall that version and download it from the "official" LimeWire website. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

You could try their download page and clik on 'contact us'.
I found this successful when I had a problem!:D

Tried all that, this site called "All Cool Music" that gave me the Lime Wire program and nothing else as promised, even any confirmation of anything.

Seems they take your cash within a minute or so but trying to get it back is near impossible, just more automated email that goes round and round in circles.

Being in Australia makes phoning them more of a problem, good chance they have an automated phone system, and sitting on hold for 10 minutes at near $10 per min is not my idea of fun.

Might have to contact the bank and let them do all the phone calls.

My suggestion is to cancel the transaction thru your bank/credit co. asap!!! It can be done! Just explain to them that it's a scam site & they took your money & was a pure deception. The banks here do have dept's that deal with that type of thing & can handle it if you put it to them the right way.

By the way have a look at the scam sites here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...879#post119879
