DVD output to a tft monitor?

Has anyone tried connecting a tft monitor (as opposed to a tft television) to a dvd player? Is it possible?

Just thinking aloud here..DVD players have for outputs(mine does): SCART, composite-video and s_video. ( I use my dvd player as a mp3 player sibce it was dirt cheap)

..now TFT monitors have er.. what?(I don't have one yet):d-type connectors, DVI connectors..?

I've not done any serious searching yet but I've not found any info that says it is possible.

Why do I want to do this ?: Well I don't use a tv but do watch dvds etc on my pc, which isn't the most cosy experience in the world. Be nice to have a non-tv AV set up by the fire-side so to speak..

It can be done. If the connections on the back differ from the connections on the DVD player, then simply stop by your local electronics store, and pick up some connectors. ;)
