Notice under the Limewire section it says LW's con that it's • not entirely free
But LW is free. Unless you want to purchase the pro version. But even if you do it's cheaper than most other p2p apps that have an equivalent pro version.

Other than that .. looks like a nice site. Hey if you pay me I'll finish the site off for you. lol :D

caminoix April 10th, 2005 10:35 AM

thanks :)
whenever you feel you would like to help, we'll be very happy :)

SORRY FOR THE CROSSPOSTING!

Also when you talk about G2, you say it is different from gnutella because of:

"The main technical difference is the fact that G2 divides all its users into nodes and leaves. Anyone who has enough memory and bandwith can become a node. On every node, there is a table containing the essential info on all the files shared by the node's leaves. Thanks to that, queries do not travel to evry singly computer, just among the nodes. Additionally, after having reached a certain number of results (usually a few hundrets or more), the query is not passed on. Altogether, the use of network (the overhead) is reduced a great deal."

Well on Gnutella it was like that before G2 was born...

Also it is Mike Stokes not Mikea Stokesa

Adagio is Linux not windows

Azureus is mac too

aMule is mac and windows too

mlDonkey is mac and windows too

Morpheus and Xolox should be under Multinet P2P

You actually forgot the biggest eDonkey2K proggy: eMule

All for now ;)

caminoix April 10th, 2005 10:54 AM

thank you for all the help :)

i'll fix g2.

mikea stokesa: misspelling + i forgot to remove the polish declension suffix when translating :)

i don't know about linux adagio. i have run it under windows and it worked.

morpheus? i can't remember having translated it...

emule is not forgotten. it's not translated yet. actually, i don't like it too much, that's why i left it for the end :)

waiting for more :)

et voilà April 10th, 2005 10:59 AM

oups I thought adagio was linux only, but it is windows + linux http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=80172

ciao

caminoix April 10th, 2005 11:03 AM

ok :)

btw, win amule isn't yet ready. it says "soon" on their site :)

et voilà April 10th, 2005 11:10 AM

;) True. But...

Waste has a linux and a mac version also, héhéhé

Morpheus is a NEOnet network client. Morpheus uses NEOnet for search, and Gnutella/BitTorrent for download.

Yes, Morpheus supports other networks, but most are turned off by default.

NO. You connect and search from Gnutella by default

Yes, as I said _most_ networks are off by default. Gnutella is on by default, G2, eDonkey, and FastTrack are off by default.

Morpheus is a NEOnet network client.

caminoix April 11th, 2005 03:21 PM

in short: even if you have to change a little something to get it, morpheus is multinetwork :)

Risky April 11th, 2005 04:00 PM

While its true that Morpheus IS multinetwork, the primary network is NEOnet.

If Morpheus belongs in the multinetwork category, so does eDonkey, Shareaza, iMesh, WinMX, eMule and any other clients that support more than just one network completely exclusively.

Morpheus is a NEOnet network client.

et voilà April 11th, 2005 04:08 PM

And Morphshit is Gnutella client
And Morphshit is G2 client
And Morphshit is edonkey client
And Morphshit is Bittorrent client

Stop it Risky, you are making a fool of yourself :p

Risky April 11th, 2005 05:01 PM

Lets not get nasty hehe.

Morpheus is a NEOnet network client.

et voilà April 11th, 2005 05:15 PM

......

and a gnet client
and a G2 client
and a ed2k client
and a bittorrent client

You sure are slow to get the point....

Oh and reviewing its software is pretty lame Risky...

http://www.download.com/Morpheus/364....html?sb=1&v=0

Risky April 11th, 2005 07:25 PM

Hey, you don't agree - go evaluate the software, and write your own review. At least I didn't say Morpheus cures cancer, or whitens your teeth or something.

I think "searches and downloads fast, and lots of search results." is a very reasonable, fair, and accurate review, even if the grammar is a little lacking. I even cited some legitimate criticism, that it "sometimes takes a while to connect," which is quite true, and will be addressed quite effectively in the upcoming release of Morpheus 5.0.

et voilà April 11th, 2005 07:30 PM

I'll never register at Cnet, but that is not the point. What you don't get (along with many other things) is that rating is own work is unethical and unprofessional. You are not a user of the software, but a developper of that app and thus your judgement is biased.

Search google for "ethics", please.

Merci :o

Risky April 11th, 2005 09:27 PM

Well, in my effort to be deceptive and unethical, I obviously did a terrible job. I used the same name I use on all forums, and was so terribly deceptive in doing so. Also, if you read the opinions on download.com, they are loaded with biased opinions. There is no 'biased opinion' policy there, and I don't think any reader there would suspect as much without being terribly naive.
