A few days back chatting using windows messenger 4.7.3001 the contact said ".. I can tell you are using Firefox.." what leaked this info. I wonder?

What do you think..should I get a different chat client? Trillian 3.1 Pro sounds a cracker

iv herd that windows messenger is pretty dangerous......some big securety hole . for chat i personaly use the chatrooms that are built into ares (ares is another fileshareing platform) .

Trillian 3.1 is using an older version of the MSN protocol. As of this week Microsoft has dropped support for this protocol. The quick fix is to upgrade to Trillian 4 (or the upcoming Trillian 5). Over the longer term, we will work on a patch for the Trillian 3 series. Once Trillian 5 is released we will begin phasing out support for 3, so please consider upgrading to 4 or 5 in the coming months.
