Question about downloading movies

I'm new to this kind of stuff... I was just wondering when downloading a movie, how long does it take? I have cable, not dial up...

Thanks!

Thats like asking how long a piece of strings is?? he he.. Well it depends on how big the file is and where you are getting it from..

I know thats no help, but hey, thats it

Hmmm you asked a question with to many variables for an exact response.

But here is a quick summary: It depends on the u/l speed of the host(s) you are getting it from. For example if it is a single host, and that host is dialup it may take some time, as they will only be able to u/l at from 0-7 KB/s max., more likely 2-3 KB/s. And the more hosts u/ling the file the faster it will go.

heres a friendly tip:

When DLin movies, try to get the ones where they split it up into 2 or 3 parts. When you find those, DL them all at once. Because the files are smaller, and u can dl more than 1 thing at once, it should take less time to get the movie
