hot korean drama

I downloaded Windstruck (korean drama that is the prequel to My sassy girl) because I heard it was good. However, once I played it there was no visualization but only had their voices on windows media player...it is too bad that I don't understand korean and that there are no visuals...does anyone know what I can do at this point?
I appreciate everyones' help! =P

Get codec's or get an alternative backup player with in-built codecs such as VLC which I would highly recommend & it's free. VLC has subtitle support! Otherwise GSpot will tell you which codecs you need to see it. See CODECs list and alternate players for Movies for links to what I just recommended.

BTW which Korean words do you need help with. lol :D

Wow it worked ...thank you so much! ;)
It really was disappointing in the beginning not being able to watch it when I spent two days downloading it...and the fact that I had told my friend that once i finish downloading that we would watch it together.
Yeah, I am really into korean dramas and movies lately but I am not korean so I must rely on either english subtitles or cantonese or mandarin audio.
Are you korean? I always wanted to learn korean and it is so hard to learn if you don't have any friends who speak this language. There are hardly any koreans at UBC.. :(
Sorry all, I have another question, I stupidly removed java and cannot retrieve it, I didn't know it was needed to run limewire. What am I able to do now? Will I have to download another version of limewire and pay the thirty something dollars lifetime fee again? The system told me to download java from java.sun.com but I don't see where I should click next because I don't see the subheading for downloading java.
Hey everyone sorry for my questions...and thank you for your help!

cheers,
sandy

Hi about the korean movie, I did what you advised such as I downloaded codec and vlc (0.8.2). I am able to see the movie; however, vlc did not have any subtitles. I looked at the vlc features which you recommended that I do but I still don't know where I did wrong. Help!
Thank you again :p

You have brought up an interesting point regarding english sub-titles and foreign (so to speak) broadcasts/movies, etc. My first question is whether or not the native broadcast offers an english subtitle and secondly, if an app such as VLC or GSpot can properly decode the media presented? If not, would the suggested link by LOTR guide one in the right direction to select the correct decoder, i.e., Mac, PC, Linux?

I have to confess I've never attempted to downlded such videos with subtitles. But if they they had subtitles & were encoded to include them then they should be accessible. I can show where the subtitles can be set for VLC (image below.) If VLC can access subtitles for such videos on windows then it should also apply to Linux & Mac. (Also see the advanced option.)

Java for Windows can be re-downlded from the following sites: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp (take the JRE) but there is a further update for java 1.5 You can search the Sun site for it.

I think you should see this http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...5&pagenumber=1 It sounds like you got your LW from a scam site. There is no 'Lifetime' membership. LW is free unless you want to get LW Pro for $18.88 from here: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

Thanks LOTR and Callahan. The video probably did not include english subtitles and I got back LW to function as it did previously with your guys help!
Well I guess I got scammed..now you know how smart I am. I was wondering about LW PRO for 18 something dollars, do you recommend it then?

Thanks!

Get LW Basic 1st. Then if you're happy with it, consider getting LW Pro. The differences are only subtle. LW pro connects to 5 peers compared to the Basic's 3 which does help with improved search results. But reiterating, the differences are only small. Pro is in some ways, a donation to the programmers to keep LW affloat. They need to get their income from somewhere. ;) :)
