Virus infested programs on Limeware

I have tried to download dozen of programs and every one with one exception has a virus attached. Fortunally Norton saved my butt each time. The Limeware section for "Programs" search is less then useless and quite dangerious. There should be a way to identifie bad files that are offered for download so the individual can be warned. Any ideas? By the way, the only program without a virus attached so far has been Limeware Pro.

Well ... bitzi lookup is used for checking out reports on many files but their listing of programs might be limited. What they probably need is more input in that area. See How to use Bitzi Web Lookup ...

never download 857.51 kb files and below they are nasty P2P trojans, most come labled as pirated files and W32 sniffers, Ip trackers, etc...

how about stop downloading executables off of limewire?
even if a executable passes a virus scan, it could still be a virus because a majority of virus scanners are signature based, so a person could put out a new version on limewire without many of the companies noticing it.
