Membership to download?
 

My son signed up for 2 years of unlimited downloads through a site that shows up as ip-mp3support.net for $27.76. Is this a valid purchase - we have the free version of LimeWire and then pay for the ability to download?

It would seem that you've been scammed. The basic version of LimeWire is free. Absolutely free. You only pay for the Pro version, which gives you some updates & e-mail support. I suggest that you contact your credit card company & try to cancel your transaction. The official site is www.limewire.com
and downloading the program from any other site is asking for trouble.
