It sounds like you're sharing your iTunes library right? If yes, then you can change the sorting within iTunes' settings. It's iTunes that arranges the songs by artist & album. Go to iTunes menu bar, Edit > Preferences>Advanced & uncheck option for keeping iTunes library organised. I think that will do the trick.

After changing settings within iTunes, you'd need to press the Refresh button in the LW Library window so it shows any changes. But I don't know if the changes in iTunes will affect files already within its library. Perhaps only new ones. I've never used that setting so I can't verify.

it looks like I permently mixed up my library. I am highly dissapointed that itunes completely rearranged my library!!! I installed itunes on 12-29-05. do think I can somehow restore my lw library?

Simply undo the change you made. ie: Arrange songs by ... And then go to iTunes menu bar, advanced>consolidate library. Not sure if you need to do the last step, because probably if you close iTunes after making the change & then re-open it, it will probably reorganise the music library.

I prefer the library organised by artist>album. Personal preference I guess.

although itunes has completely rearranged my lw library i continued trying to work with itunes. it didn't seem 2 user friendly at first but once i figured it all out i love it! thanx for ure help lord!
