How do I get past my college firewall?

I have a laptop and I'm automatically connected to my college network but I can't access limewire because of a firewall. I've tried everything. Anyone know what to do? Thanks.

Unfortunately I don't think you will be able to.
I work for a college and they have something called "Webwise" which stops you from viewing any naughty, downloading and basically any fun sites unless they are required by the college syllabus for teaching purposes and even then sometimes there are problems.
If you have a Computing Faculty / Department might be best to ask there advise as they will know details about the firewall.

Also if you try to break (not sure of the technical term), and do manage to gain access, it may be classed as a breach of your student contract. A lot of new legsliation brought on pedo's etc. Again speak with someone in Authority just to be on the safe side as your Education may be at risk.
