Prob with sound on media player
 

Hi!

Im a new user so im hoping some one out there can help me. I've downloaded a couple of audio files, but when i play them in lime wire media player the sound is quite bad. Its muffled and tinny.
I know it's nothing to do with my pc as playing files through other sources - windows media player etc the sound is crystal.
The files im dowloading from lime wire are 128 bitrate or more, so im thinking that cant be the issue.
Would be very grateful if someone could help me solve this very annoying prob!

The best solution is to simply stop using the LW player. It isn't very good and ads additional burden to LW when you try to play stuff with it.
I suggest browsing to the Shared folder and from there playing the files in the media player of your preference.

and the higher the bitrate the better the sound....i personaly use WAV files made from my and myfriends CDs. they run at 1411kb/s and they sound PERFECT.

but when i have to use mp3s ...i cant stand lisning to anything below 192....and i go for 256 or 320 whenever possible.
