Grateful Dead vs. archive.org

There has been a bit of a ripple in the amount of freely available Greatful Dead Concert Recordings.

This should be of interest to anyone interested in free music of any description, and The Grateful Dead's realization that hey could control the sale their concert tickets without ticket touts, allow fans to record their shows, and not rely on the record company executives for their wealth but on their own ability and hard work.

Great link & they are not gratefully dead. They are a piece of music history that should forever shine. They inspired so many others directly or indirectly musically ... such a musical influence! From their very early days of psychedelia thru the years of jamming & coming up with something original every time puts them on a special level. I love hearing or seeing their live performances whenever or wherever. They all have their own particular character. Pity more bands weren't mainstream as this one weren't & were willing to show more personal character than one carved out for them by the music bus & marketers.

I give 10 + for originality & pro performances everytime. Their approach was very attractive. Just IMHO

Gladly there's also been others welcome to p2p sharing to get their music to listeners "all over the world" without ... it is a sample to others. If we like it so much we'll buy it.
