I Guess Yall Are right

I guess yall are right. I don't know much about things like
this. Not very experienced in computer stuff. Technical stuff.
BTW, I am not a troll looking for attention. Just because I
don't know everything doesn't make me an idiot.

I have decided to keep using LW. Can't do anything about
my files.

Now if I can figure why LW suddenly won't load. I keep getting
a error message when I try to use it. Is LW basic a trial that
stops working after a while?

I re-scanned my system to make sure there are no viruses,
trojans, spyware and found nothing. Maybe LW is safe however,
I stand by my original claim of it posing a risk of personal info
being shared without one's knowledge.

with one's knowledge, without one's knowledge...its relative...the installer asks if you want to have your drive searched for media files, hence one is given the chance to be aware, and its up to said user to pay attention...

on the flip side, I agree with your sentiments...I've always thought that little algorithm in installers was lamer...if one wants files shared, then they should add them themselves and not trust a program to blindly start sharing everything...

Mr Poetrob68

I would just like to say that I do not think your an idiot but you lack a certain amount of technical knowledge and without that knowledge you jumped to a conclusion you did not have the evidence or information to make.

However, the fact that you made it and had the guts to present it in this forum shows that you must be brave.

Anyway, welcome aboard and I hope that you can make further contributions in the near future.

As for your problem, I would suggest you do a complete uninstall, via Control Panel, and then via Windows Explorer delete all remaining LW folders and sub folders. Download a new copy of LW Basic then reboot your PC to clear out any LW instructions cached in memory. When your PC settles, do a complete re-install.

Your new installation of LW should now work.
