losing software
 
Hi
I am a new member/user. I am currently using basic. After using Limewire and shutting down my system,then later come back online,The software is gone and I have to re install it again.This has happened quite a few times.Why is that?

Hi you haven't given us ANY imformation to help you, but might I suggest you might be running the programme from the installer, rather than properly installing it. If that is not the problem, let us have details of your platform, OS which installer you are using .... etc etc.. Otherwise were in the dark:(

Hi
I am running Windows XP.I assume ,the program is downloading and I'don't think I am running it from the installer.It unpacks and then opens.I am using AOL.

Try using a different browser to download the installer. ... and use the alternative installer on the Limewire website. This is a known problem wiih AOL

Hi again,
This might sound stupid,but how do I d/n from a different browser? I think all I have is the AOL browser.

I have a feeling this may be your problem, You should see if you can down load another browser, I suggest Firefox. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/. Aol's browser should be capable of down loading that I hope LOL:)

Hi Hobo,
I d/l through Internet Explorer,but had same resulys when I tried to use Limewire this AM. I'll d/l Firefox and use it,will let you know how it goes.
