So Much for LW
 

Well, I enjoyed LW the whole 3 days it worked.
I still cannot get it to work and since help is only
available to pro version users, guess I'm basically
screwed.

The basic version should be a glimpse of what you get
with the pro version. If basic craps out like this, maybe
the pro does too.

Somehow I think the basic is rigged to crap out so people
will buy the pro.

Someone told me LW basic is a good program. For three
days it was.

The least you can do is fix basic and make it a trial version
or something. Allow a trial use of pro and do away with basic.
I am not at all impressed with LW.

BTW, I was right about LW posing a security risk. Spyware,
adware, trojans, can easily find their way on your computer.
I scanned with a better program and found 28 serious infections.
Three guesses how they got there?

LW is a definate use at your own risk thing.

poetrob68 may have a point. I have used LW basic and it does lock up fairly regular and spyware does get through.

I have been trying to upgrade to pro because the cost is low. I wanted to see if it is any better than basic. Can't seem to be able to pay for it through Paypal because LW doesn't have a proper address for paying purposes. When I searched for it, I was directed to this site. ??????????????????

If you want to continue this, PM me. What I said is true. I have used LW for the past six months and yes there are issues. Know who you are talking to before you call them morans.

If you don't believe me, come to my house and take a look.

The 1st trick is step 2 or 3 here: Fixes for Limewire If you don't like what you find in your searches then use the spam filter. That's why it's there! It's a learning dynamic filter not a static filter. ;) Also google the word overpeer

I checked out overpeer. I believe this may be the cause. I never said LW was a bad product. I want to upgrade but LW shouldn't send people to this forum to answer questions that are definitely glitches in there web site. I was just trying to get some help getting pro.
