There's no movie download page!
You have to search for what people are sharing:D

sbdjr55 May 11th, 2007 03:11 PM

I used to be able to download movies, but recently nothing will download. I get the answer "need more sources". Music still downloads with no problem. Am i doing something wrong?

Somehow if you look very hard, your answers will be answered in this Sticky: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...load-help.html. Particularly around about the 4th line. But also check all the others!!! ;) :)

Right click the movie search result & choose lookup with Bitzi & see if it's listed. If not then it's probably fake. How to use Bitzi Web Lookup

Check the Stickies as shown above. There's video specific threads that help. Also check the how to find music thread, that is helpful for videos also.

Thanks for that. will check bitzi.
I have many vids stuck awaiting sources:
6 Hi***cks, D***go, Co***ke, Pe***ers, N***rd, B***vis, P***ki, etc. the list goes on....
Delighted when I recently found a source for a very precious film after weeks of searching. But now they seem to have gona away again. I can't bear to watch only the first 45 minutes of this tragic film (Zh***ou's Ra***tern). But generally speaking the classics are not popular enough and so slow to download. It is sometime tempting to try a zip or exe file but Norton always blocks them - trojan horses mostly or corruption. How can people be encouraged to download classic films and comedy? :PEACE:

garbagefan2 September 30th, 2007 01:40 PM

What program are you watching the movie on? Try the VLC player if your not using it. It plays a lot of file formats.

The VLC Player

nan2pop October 1st, 2007 07:17 AM

Here's a starting point: How to find music (click on blue link); applies to videos also. ;)

Select Video search type, type on movie title or a portion of it, press search button. :)

I need help, when i finish downloading a movie it says disk problem, how do i fix it?

sarah hawting October 1st, 2009 07:23 PM

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) If using Windows Vista, please tell us whether you have an Administrator user account. Window's XP
2. What firewalls you have?AVG anti-virus, norten internet and computer security, ccleaner.
3. How much ram?Not sure, my partner did put in extra ram when we bought it.
4. Hard Disk space available? We have three main hard drives with 360gb left and an extra another one we dont need to use yet.
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)Broadband.
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? (eg: Linksys WRT54Gv4)motorola SB5101 SURFboard cable modem
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?Home.
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help bar > About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 4.16.7 1.6.0_12. _ Click to see Sample image
*It's very important that you tell us whether you're using LW 5*
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?Telstra.
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? My test worked.
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.Not that I'm aware of.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.I have used lime wire for a while but have never had a problem.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? _ click here to see Sample image No
If you're using LW5, there's no firewall icon. In LW go tools > advanced tools...there you'll see whether you're behind a firewall or not.
Click on thumbnail to enlarge the image.
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/attach...all-status.jpg
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?I dont know.
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall :)I have already said what security im using.
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). Australia.
17. Has anything in your setup changed recently? Have you updated your version of LW or Java? Have you added any new software or new hardware? Have you updated any software? Have you moved house, changed internet plan or ISP etc etc? No.
Now my problem is that when a file finishes downloading instead of saying complete it says disc problem and it does not play or go to my saved folder, what is causing this problem and how do i fix it? Reply to [email]*EDITED*@*EDITED*.com/email]:bangh:

You only need one software firewall. Choose one & disable the other firewalls. More than one usually results in them clashing with each other & results in less security & other buggy behaviour. Make sure LW is listed as an exception in the firewall rules. Usually you will see your firewall icon at bottom right of window & can right-click it to open it & then select exceptions.

Telstra do not block p2p sharing.

It's my guess you need a replacement gnutella.net file. Check through options here: If LW 4 Will Not Connect (click on the blue link). For LW 4, the gnutella.net file occasionally needs replacing.
