Limewire Audio Music Junk?????

This is my 1st post on this forum ,so I might appear to be a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic,ha,ha!!!When I search for and find music files I'm interested in downloading to my hard drive then recording them to cassettes, everything will be going great then buffering (gaps, pauses in music) sets in and ruins a perfect recording. Not all the time,it depends on the time of day or night it seems!!How do I correct this problem???Are the music files I'm downloading bad????Are my computer settings at fault??Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated, thanx the STURGEON GENERAL.

Hi ... Welcome to the forum.

If you are playing the files on your Limewire player, I would suggest using a different player as the LW player is not that good. something like iTunes or Win Amp. You can dissable the Limewire player in options>player.

Note also that occasionally when playing a file for the first time in iTunes at any rate, there may be a break near the beginning while the playback level is determined. This will dissapear at subsequent plays.

Some files are faulty, but I think you will find doing this will make a huge improvement:)

Let us know if it helps

If this happens just with a few files .. then I'm sure the files are faulty. If you are after mainstream music, you may need to try a few times to get a decent copy.

If you are after fairly obscure botlegs , what you hear is often what you get :)

If you want to send me a PM ( button below this post) with further details I'll happily give you more thoughts as details of what you are downloading are not permitted on the forums themselves.

btw Another hobo is my alter ego used in times of technical difficulty :)
