I Joined thier channel with the name i use here and was instantly banned.

The IRC channel you mentioned is trying to be family-friendly because a lot of
kids are there at all times. There's nothing anti-gay about it. If you want to be
the Lipstick_Lesbian on IRC you will have to stick with the adult channels.

Here, on the other hand, we rarely see anyone below 18 years old.
