A Really Sad Day for Australia

It's a Sad day for Australia today, Steve Irwin aka The Crocodile Hunter was killed today whilst filming a documentry. A stingray barb penetrated his heart and rescuers could not revive him.
His wife Terry is currently trecking in Tasmania and they say she might not be aware of this as yet...

Wow, that really is sad:(. I did like to watch his shows, though I hadn't seen much of him lately. He had a very interesting and animated personality that made him fun to watch.

He made it look easy, but that just hows how dangerous his line of work really is........Thats too bad. I feel bad for his family.

He was more famous in USA than here. Wow I am totally knocked over by this! A total shock & depressing news indeed! Very sad indeed! And very unexpected! As though it was a relative. My condolences & best wishes go out for his wife & children.

I feel the same way, it's as if he was a family member...I think it's because he had a heart of gold...My thought's are also with his family....

Really depressing news

Steve Irwin was so lively and enthusiastic human being. He made a marvelous documental film about anacondas in my country and left a lot of friends and fans among the 'llaneros' (people of the plains). Maybe God wanted some help up there and Steve will be doing the job he was the best at.

The Crocodile Hunter was well known in the UK, he made what he did look so easy even though it was extremely dangerous.

All I can really say is that I was shocked when I heard about his tragic accident this morning, I truly feel sorry for his wife and young children.

Steve, may God be with you.

it certainly is a sad time downunder, his wife terry was informed yesterday on her trek and is now bak in queensland, the zoo is running as normal today, staff at his zoo commented as saying "steve would hav kicked our butt's if we sat around mourning,"

discovery channel has set up a Crikey Fund to help raise funds for the cause that he loved,

wen i heard the news yesterday i was like no way that can't be true, it's sunk in this morning and it feels like we've lost a family member, he will be sorely missed by every1 in the world and my heart n prayers are wit his wife, children and close friends

R.I.P. MATE WE MISS YA ALREADY:cry: :(
