House Illegal "amnesty" Bill

You REALLY need to get on your phones and FAX machines and let your REPRESENTATIVE know - TODAY - that you're totally OPPOSED to H.R. 1645 (Gutierrez-Flake "amnesty"
bill ).

(You can find your Rep's contact info here: http://www.theorator.com/government/house.html ).

This is the FAX I just sent (feel free to use it):

Totally OPPOSED to H.R. 1645 (Gutierrez-Flake "amnesty"
bill )

++ grants an almost guaranteed "pathway to
citizenship" to most of the 12-20 million
illegals living in the U.S -- i.e. amnesty!

++ Sells citizenship for $2,500.

++ Illegals do not have to pay back taxes.

++ Amnesty recipients will receive Social Security
benefits based on their illegal work.

++ Employers are absolved of any civil or criminal
tax liability for having hired illegals.

++ Creates a "common security perimeter" with Canada
and Mexico -- big step toward North American
Union

I am AGAINST this bill’s passage on every possible level – it is a deadly INSULT to every legitimate AMERICAN citizen!

I WILL be watching your vote closely on this.

(Signed)

If we can get this thing killed in the House, it'll be much easier to kill similar bills in the Senate.

If you play around or procrastinate on this one - it's a sure bet it'll pass. Pete

Just curious are you an American Indian. If not then either you or your Ancestors came from some other country other than the U.S., or you are a Bigot.

This Country was built on the backs of immigrants and where they could have rights and freedoms that all humans should have. And it is a place where many come to try and escape poverty and oppressive governments. That is what the constitution was written for.

Now since reading your post I am assuming that since you have the luxury of being a U.S. citizen and do not have to worry about the things some of the other people of the world do. That you just say to hell with them I have what I want and deserve and they do not deserve the opportunity to have what I have.

As far as I am concerned you can go live in one of the countries of these people you have so Little regard for. There you can live in a elitist society where the government controls everything. Because that is where your attitude belongs. Not in a country that was based on peoples rights and freedoms.

So maybe we should start a petition and send it to our government Representatives that says all people who do not believe others have rights should have there citizenship revoked and exiled from the U.S.

So if you haven't guessed what my opinion of your post is yet. Let me make it perfectly clear.

YOU CAN STICK IT WHERE THE SUN DOESN'T SHINE

Grandpa

Although I have never been to the US and I am definitely not a US citizen I must say that I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments. It makes me sick to my stomach when bigots portray their stupidity and ignorance. And what is worse try to bully decent people with their threats, implied or otherwise. And this bigot did try to imply dire consequences if you did not do as you were told:

Simply put, this NAZI should crawl back into the evil pit he came out of.

I agree completely. Even felt the need to quote it :xeri_ok1ani:

I can only conclude that neither of you bothered to read the "background link" I provided ( http://www.firesociety.com/article/11979/?=src111 ) that explained extremely clearly what most of the pitfalls of the proposed bill would be and how glaringly un-fair it would be - not just to legitimate American citizens, but to the very same potential immigrants who have been striving to enter this country - legally - in some cases for years.

Please - continue to live in your personal fantasy-lands. If you can't recognize bad legislation when it jumps up and bites you in the ***, there's literally no hope for you -especially when all you have to do is read it to see it.

The whole "let's legalize the illegals" movement is itself driven by greed - the greed of the government for more tax money and votes from all those grateful aliens; the greed of corporations looking for "legitimate" ***** labor.

If you don't care to accept the fact that this will (1) send public assistance and educational costs through the roof; (2) result in the even sooner-than-expected demise of our Social Security benefits; (3) drive wages down in all sectors of the job market (because it can, and will); (4) WILL result in the more-rapid formation of the "North American Union" (which will effectively remove our sovereignty as an individual nation) - then more power to you.

It is cowardice in the extreme not to face these facts - to attempt to turn it into some tear-jerk soap opera about the poor, oppressed illegal immigrants is pathetic.

Seems Ted Kennedy will be introducing the Senate version - you all ought to feel right at home supporting slime like him.

Have a good evening. Pete

I took all those facts into account, and while you think those things you mention are bad, I prefer to look at the big picture ;)

And it will only drive wages down slightly, and later force those morons you guys have ruling your Sovereign state to reevaluate whether to stop having a nonstop war on everyone else or actually take better care of the people in your country.

Politics interest me, and that bill is the most interesting thing to come up in a long long time.

Grandpa March 31st, 2007 05:19 AM

Although I did read your links. Most of what they say is just a bunch of crap. Written by people who have and say to hell with anybody else. What is amazing is that gullible people like yourself will read crap like this and are either unable to think for themselves or are complete morons and fall for it hook line and sinker.

Now if they remained Illegal and are not paying taxes now do you think they are going to start paying taxes if they remain illegal. ?

The reason there are so many jobs out there for these people is that the American people have become very lazy and think they deserve 2 days pay for half a days work. And would rather sit on there asses on welfare doing nothing than get a job.

Most of these Illegals pay into social security already and see no benefit from it. If the Government would quit borrowing from social security and would have made adjustments to it over time it would have been fine. (Free money for the Goverment)

So go ahead and blame the illegals for all of the problems with social security, schools, health care, and anything else you wish since it is all there fault. Our Government had nothing to do with it. And hopefully the people like you will find a new land and form your own Government and fix all of the problems by blaming illegal aliens for your problems. And while you are at it try pulling you head out of you A$$ the world wouldn't smell so bad if you did.

ukbobboy01 March 31st, 2007 07:54 AM

I just want to make one universal observation, throughout history bigots, morons and manipulative politicians have always blamed the “foreigner” for their country’s problems, whether newly arrived or have been settled for generations.

It’s a che_ap shot that will always be used by those looking for simplistic reasons for their problems or by those looking for someone or some group to hate. And unfortunately, it looks like Spy1 is just that kind of person.

I do agree with you ukbobboy and what is sad about it we or our ancestors have all been immigrants to our respective countries at one time or another.

It is ashame that some believe themselves to be superior to others such as Spy-1 believes.
