Insurance is just a money making scheme. Almost every insurance company in the US does the same exact ****. That's why they're in operation for so long. Jesus, is auto insurance really all that necessary? I've been driving for 9 years with no accidents on record, and it's mandatory for me to at least get liability in case I actually get into an accident? And if I do get liability, my insurance won't cover the expenses if the other ******* rear ends me? I have to go through their insurance company, consult the ****ing claims adjuster to see who was at fault, file a damn lawsuit, etc etc etc?!

The exploitation of our nation's laws through corrupt lobbying has been going on in this country for centuries! Warren G. Harding, Ulysses S. Grant, Richard Nixon, George W. Bush Sr., George W. Bush Jr., etc. Hell, the last president has already done an insane amount of damage to our economy by using his office to push forward legislation created by special interest groups that have put us in another recession. Our economy is currently at an all-time low, and although there are safeguards in place to keep us from plunging into a major depression, we're still reeling from the effects of the Iraq War and the war in Afghanistan. National unemployment rates have skyrocketed to 9%, and unemployment rates in California alone has jumped to just under 20% as of 2009. That means that 1 in every 5 Californians, give or take, are currently unemployed.

Now, every person in our country is hoping Obama can make good on at least some of his promises. I hope he has the power to go after corrupt lobbyists and industry insider political action committees. Grr...

State Farm nightmare

I had the same issue, no roof replacement after shingles blew off, they said it was due to the nails popping up, and it was faultly workmanship. I had to make them state that they were not insuring my roof, and to stipulate exactly what they were insuring on my home, after all, what if a tree busted the roof open, would it be faulty workmanship too? What if the brick were layed off center, same? They finally came through when I threatened to go to the State Board. Contact your local news too. Those troubleshooters are good, and it sounds like you have a good human interest story to tell! Good Luck.

CSR of Farmers Insurance! Stands in your Favor!

Didn't that make you feel better to get all that out though? :w00t: Peerless, You had a shitty agent, an adjuster that was tired of his job and no one to help you with a solution or understanding and I am sorry you had to experience that. Your agent could have easily prevented all of that!:bangh:

It sounds to me that the agent may have been new, his staff obviously lacked in Customer Service ability, skills or customer knowledge. Though they are few and far between these days A good Insurance agent, (no matter the company), will know you close enough to make sure you know all the fine details and how to protect yourself and your property as well as educate you in the Insurance policy basics regulated by the State Of Texas NOT the Insurance Companies.

:xeri_ok1ani:Please know even with your current Auto/Home insuance carrier, should you have questions you would like to investigate. You have a friend right here that will help you that has 16 years of Agency Management and Customer Service under her belt and a wealth of knowledge in the Personal Lines Auto/Home industry. I am currently retired, as of 5 yrs ago, from a Farmers Insurance agent in Austin. During those 16 years I worked for 3 seperate agents and one district office and consistantly maintained an agency Customer Retention of 90% and above. And I would be curious to know who your agent was...........lol (you can email me that if you want to....ha!)

I loved my job and miss being able to help others understand something that is otherwise to them a pile of missleading and useless crap that they had to have. So, I am here to help if you or anyone else needs it Just because! And I wont get mad if you yell or cuss, It's always been a part of the job requirements.....lol:w00t:

I have the same opinion like the most of you guys.
I'm with MachoTacoSauce...Insurance Companies just make money and to get your money they do all things to actually keep the money.

It's the same with Travel Insurances while Corona...you close a deal for a travel but then something like a pandemie happens and the Insurance can't help you cause it's not their issue and Area of responsibility.... Congratulations!
