nero 7 transcoding problem
 
hi folks.......perhaps someone can help me out here.......when i am using nero 7 premium to transfer file from limewire i get to the last stage where it says burn and i get the following message.....unable to prepare data for recording...prepare session failed...transcoding of videos failed. i have never had this problem before and burned plenty dvds i have tried uninstalling and re installing nero 7......my operating system is xp can any of you guys help please?

hmmm...when you say 'transfer from limewire' do you mean you tried to drag and drop the file from lw into nero?

go directly to the saved folder and drag the file from there into nero

hi peerless.......i have already dragged the file into nero vision and at the very last stage when you click on burn that the message shows...........ta

I haven't heard of that error until now, but looked at some threads dealing with the issue

Would this have anything to do with it?

"unable to prepare data for recording: Prepare session failed: Transcoding of videos - Club CD Freaks - Knowledge is Power

From what I found two other reasons could generate that error. Low Memory causing buffer overflow or Bad source files. I would guess the second reason is the one you are looking for.

For more info just write "unable to prepare data for recording"+Nero into Google search, as others have had the same problem.
