Default The Forces of Darkness on the run

Dear Forum Members

Although this story has not yet ended, its great to see that a British law firm that went after supposedly P2P users, in order to frighten them out of their money, may end up having to pay the legal costs of their victims that dared to fight back.

I hope the firm is sued for millions. Just a gateway waiting for easy money taking advantage of the legal system & attempting to cloud the minds of the so-called defendants with their supposed 'legal' threatening letters to 'pay' them money. They may have well as run a solicit child prostitution racket, as far as they'd care looking at their 'cares' & objectives to purely obtain 'money' without consideration of society as a whole. A quick buck. Oh, caught out, wanna go for a bit of a run uh? Midnight flit? I wonder how many of their staff possibly really are into child pornography. Probably deserves closer examination. What's this got to do with the topic? The way their (the company in question) minds work! After all, their approach has been one of a 'spam' approach taking advantage of innocent people just in the same way it happens to people who have 'spam' email sent to them saying they won the UK Lottery or must do this or that to get $ or not to lose $. Being an official legal company this company is considered seriously for what they say. So people are tricked into thinking they are at risk. Pay or be at risk as threatened by the legal company in question in their letters. Harrassment (for money!)

LOTR

This company, ACS:Law, was running a protection racket with the express reason of making as much money as possible by frightening people.

However, when their bluff was called, and organisations like "Which" got involved, they backed down. But the judge said "not so fast, I want to see the case you have against these people (and what kind of racket are you running)".

Yes, I too hope they get fined £millions but the greatest thing would be if they have their license to practice law taken away.

I hope the people that were scared, coerced, and/or terrorized into paying the £500, get their money back several times fold. Maybe they(the powers that be), will think twice about their tactics, but I doubt it.

Guys

Here is the latest info about the racket ACS:Law was running and the fact that the firm has now been wound-up, meaning that those people who were frightened out of their money will be unable to get any money back.

Andrew Crossley, who ran ACS:Law, should be severely punished for being a shyster and a money hungry crook.

Default ACS: Law (Shysters Incorporated)

Dear Forum Members

The shyster law company ACS: Law has been fined only £1,000.00 by one of the UK's regulatory authorities, the Information Commissioner's Office. The reason for this low fine was because the company has now been wound up and the owner, Andrew Crossley, has provided, in a sworn statement, the current state of his finances.

Personally, I believe that this predator should be relieved of all his worldly possessions because he was more than willing to frighten weak and vulnerable PC users out of £500.00 each, whether they were guilty of his accusations or not.
