Megaupload.com

Megaupload.com has fallen foul of the authorities. Seems the USA bureaucracies are yet again, trying to remove people's freedoms on the internet. China here we come. And China thought their internet censorship was bad. Wait for the SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) to get through parliament and jump into action.

Be very careful of phishing sites, that try and steal your user information. Some pages are popping up around the net claiming to be legit MegaUpload links and pages, but they are only out to get your login details etc.

It's rather sad that Megaupload.com which was good and hurt nobody is closed now, but there are so many scumbag sites on the web that are trying to steal user's money... I don't wanna live on this planet anymore!

Sleepless edit: Removed off topic link, which most likely was the sole reason for posting here.

Please get informed. These bills are not about internet piracy. They are about huge corporations trying to control the entire flow of the internet.

Just do a simple google search for the insane free speech restrictions to be expected if any of them pass. And lets not forget that poor third world countries will have to pay fifty times or more for medicine, because of patent restrictions. This is nothing but major corporations wanting even more than they already have.
