Strange Connection Problem

I just upgraded to Limewire 2.3.3 and now have a strange connection problem:

When I initially start the program, it goes through the usual connection attempts, using the limewire as well as teh gnutella host lists. However, if I leave it running for long enough - a couple hours is usually all it takes - it stops attempting to log in to new servers when the old servers disconnect. And that includes the limewire and gnutella host list servers.

The only way I've found to fix it is to close Limewire and restart it. One thing I'm happy about with the new version is that I don't lose my in-progress downloads when I do that, but it IS annoying to have to do it, especially since I didn't have to do it in the older versions.

And the problem gets worse...

I just upgraded to v.2.4.4 last night, and discovered the problem is even worse now. It goes from attempting to get hosts to not even responding when I click the connect command on the menu - in under an hour.

Why can't this program connect to the server list hosts, grab its lists of servers rotate through all of those, and then go back for new lists when it runs out of connections? As it is, I end up having to shut down and restart the program every half hour or so, just to have a hope of being connected to anyone else.

This connection problem just keeps getting worse with every "upgrade".

I get that too.

I'm using 2.4.4 Pro, and it:

1. Will not connect to more than 3 hosts at startup, (I have a T-1 ans am set for 10 hosts.)

2. After a time, it will not connect to new hosts when old ones disconnect.

The only way I've found to fix it is:

1. If you still have at least 1 host connected, re-type a number into the "Keep approximately __ connections up." field at the bottom of the screen.

2. Restart Limewire. :(

Does that actually fix the problem, or do you still end up having to restart on a regular basis?

I Have the same problem. One way I've found to force connection is to hold down Alt, and press "F,O,F,I,F,O,F,I,F,O,F,I...." until connection begins.
