Not Staying Connected

I have had limewire for a couple months now. A few days ago, I tried to connect to download some songs, and I couldn't. I thought something must be wrong, so I downloaded the newer version of LimeWire. I click connect and the light turns green for a second or two before immediately turning red again. It's done this for at least a hundred times. I then thought something was wrong with my AOL, so I deleted the file and re-installed it, but still LimeWire didn't work. I have AOL 7.0 and I'm using Windows ( I think XP). What's going on here?? Please help!!

How long did you wait for LimeWire to connect? Do you see any hosts in your connections tab? (view->connections)

Not Staying Connected

I am having the same exact problem.....and I have tried over and over to re-connect, but the light turns green then quickly back to red. For me, there are no names listed in the "connections" folder.

Please let me know what I should try. Thank you for your help.

Does Limewire connect to router.limwire.com directly after starting it?

Connection

Up until about 5PM, I was able to connect and download songs. Since then, I have been unable to connect to any LimeWire hosts. When the app launches it tries to connect to router.limewire.com:6346. It then proceeds through the rest of the hosts. After 3-4 minutes of trying to connect it stops.

I see that a lot of other people are having similar issues today. Could this be a problem on your end? If not, please tell me what I need to do to fix this.

Thank you!

router.limewire.com

There seems to be a problem with DNS lookups on router.limewire.com recently. Some of the other host caches you can try include:

connect1.gnutellanet.com:6346
connect2.gnutellanet.com:6346
connect3.gnutellanet.com:6346
connect4.gnutellanet.com:6346
connect5.gnutellanet.com:6346
connect6.gnutellanet.com:6346
connect7.public.bearshare.net:6346
