 Not connecting Gnutella 2.43 Only Firewall = Zonealarm Connecting to net through academic backbone. Tried downloading and using list of ips as recommended -still no connection. Limewire just sits there Number of degres in CompSCi, Physics etc.. Teaching P2 next year to undergrads.. Having spent a year using/teaching Linux (recently removed it as it was unstable and very inefficient - yes it probably was set up wrong but when you're concerned about productivty you havn't always time to look for the latest RPM, find the right driver etc etc).. it strike me that Limewire is a product that suffers the same problems as linux and many open source projects i.e from lack of resource and not customer centric. I have just spent an afternoon trying to get this system to work.. it doesn't. A typical experince with OS material.. promises so much.. but delivers very little..........  |
