Almost connected...!
 

Like almost everyone else, I appear to have problems connecting to LW.

I followed the advice given by Taliban and ANON who posted "05-09-2002 09:40 PM" (thanks for the comments btw)...and reopened LW.

I then hit the connection tab and saw a whole load of IP addresses scrolling down, so thought I was getting somewhere. Sadly, still no connection, but it did seem promising at least. Its almost noon GMT as I write this, so am hoping that its just that all ~500 addresses as US based and folks are still asleep!?

I have to say though, that what was once a great programme and emminently useable, has become a real pain in the ***. People will stop trying to cobble together some sort of solution to the LW problems and use another P2P service for mp3s - I know I would!

Which leads me nicely on to my question:

DOES anyone know of a suitable alternative to Limewire, which works as elegantly as LW used to? :-)

Moral of the story - IF IT AIN'T BROKE - DONT FIX IT.

Yep.. me too. I've used Limewire with no problems for almost a year. Until that blasted "upgrade". I would have directed you to WinMX.. but now that they've "upgraded" (just a few days ago), nothing seems to be working! I'll second that notion - If it ain't broke - don't fix it!!!!!!!!!
