attack of the gnucleus 1.8.1.0 ultrapeers My connections window is being taken over by slow gnucleus 1.8.1.0 ultrapeers!!! What's going on? All of a sudden all i can get are these gnucleus connections. they're slow, they have really bad i/o rates, & i can't get rid of them. My horizon's dropped to 2 terabytes from an average of 5 and i'm getting fewing search results than ever. someone SAVE ME!!! |
Yeah, Gnucleus Ultrapeers have obviously not as well connected and/or their QRP doesn't work as it is supposed to be. I don't like them, so I don't stay connected to them. I suggest you do the same. |
I regularly weed out all Gnucleus connections. If you look at the stats, your total number of hosts doesn't drop by more than five for each Gnucleus you kill, which is immediately compensated for when a connection to another client is established. This poorly designed client should NOT have an ultrapeer feature until it can properly handle them. |
