I am new to this and have just installed LimeWire for windows in order to connect to u ppl.

But i m facing problems getting connected.

Following is specification of my machine and net access.

Win NT 4 Workstation and I m behind a proxy server so for surfing the web i configure the IE options to point to ip address of the proxy.

There isnt any such setting available for Limewire, so is there any way i can get connected.

Help me out on this....wanna b one of the gnutelliums.

I am also behind a proxy. It is wingate 4.XX.
For things like napster and gnutella-based programs you'll need the wingate internet client installed on your system. The client connects then to the wingate server. But this only works if your server uses wingate.

OR you could use the "Connection-sharing" (or however this is called) on the server.

I am behind a proxy server and a firewall and I have never had any problems getting connected using BearShare.
