Problem Solving Checklist I am running a Macintosh G4 using O.S. 9.1. I downloaded Limewire about a month ago. It worked fine for about 2 weeks; then it suddenly started to have connection problems. I've gone through almost all of the questions in the forum with regards to connection problems and I have tried the following: 1) I telnet-ed to router4.limewire.com:6346 and received a "Gnutella O.K." - as a result I assume that my ISP (PacBell-SBC) is not blocking the cache host. 2) I downloaded the gnutella.net file from Taliban and copied it to the appropriate folder - In the Connections window of Limewire I can see the program is trying to connect to a number of different IP addresses but the program only connects to Ultrapeers on an intermittent basis (i.e. the connections I get are not very stable). At this point I'm not sure what I can do on my end to check what could possible be wrong with my G4 or with Limewire. Do you have an further suggestions on further avenues I can pursue? Best Regards, DonZeLLi |
