Where are all of the files?

A couple of months ago when I would connect, eventually there would be over a billion files available. Now there are 20-30 thousand. What's happened?

LimeWire can't show you the number of files anymore, if you are connected to Morpheus ultrapeers. That you can't see them in your statistics, however, does not mean that they aren't there or that you could not search for or download them.

Question...

Is there an address that will yield more hosts than another?

Hello!

I got a tip for you if you want to get connected to as many LimeWire UltraPeers as possible.

Under the connection tab you see a text field to write the number of connections that you can have.If you in there write an outrageous number of connections like 100 then LimeWire will tell you with an error message that you cannot have that many connections up because it will clog the network. But after that you will see your Client making new connections.Up to 6 if you have Cable/ADSL.If you do this multiple times until you see that all your UltraPeers are LimeWire ones then you will get more accurate statistics and possible better results on your searches.

sounds interesting!

I believe that Joakim is correct. My value always is 6 (DSL). If I simply retype the 6, I usually begin generating more connections.

Another similar tip: If I'm in Leaf Client mode, I can select all the Connections, then REMOVE them, the entire list gets regenerated, frequently switching me to be an ULTRAPEER.

Bullpucky. Baloney. This is complete crap.

I bet the Limewire developers haven't even actually *tested* this claim.

When I go into the connections pane and remove all the Morpheus and other vendor ultrapeers and have only Limwire clients, I get far more search RESULTS.

OK. I just removed the gnutella whatevers and now only have one Limewire connection. I don't see any difference in connections or d/l speed. Should I try to add more? How?
