If you have already fooled around too much with your lime wire and Java and firewall i recommend the following:

1) reset back your firewall to original, meaning DO NOT make any exception and put the "check mark" back next you limewire box in the advanced section of your firewall setting

2) completely remove Java and Limewire by using the 'add/remove program' feature in the control panel

3) reinstall limewire from limewire's original website, this will automatically install the Java as well

4) once limewire is installed, open the program

5) click on Tools

6) click on options

7) Scroll all the way down and click on "advanced"

8) Click on "firewall Config"

9) Select the "Do Nothing" option over "UpnP" and click on apply and ok,

10) you will get strong connection all of sudden and the Limewire will configure itself

11) close Limewire, and reopen it

12) Go back to tools, options, advanced, firewall config

13) Switch back to "UpnP " option and apply
