Gnutella OK but still unable to connect

i am having problems connecting...
i've already tried typing "telnet 64.61.25.171 6346" under Run in the Start menu and it does say Gnutella OK but it still won't connect.

err.. you are not supposed to use telnet to connect to gnutella.
You need a gnutella client like Limewire or Gnucleus...

OK, that can happen if...
...your client has not enough hosts to connect to
...your dont have enough bandwidth to establish these connections.

If you dont have high speed connection disable ultrapeer and limit the upload speed.

Then you can also add some more pongcaches beside
your router.limewire.com, for example:
public.bearshare.com
connect1.gnutellanet.com
connect2.gnutellanet.com

To do this, go to your preferences.

Paradog.... that is a valid way to test the ability to use port 6346 from your PC. It is a suggested method when having connection problems to ensure that you don't have an ISP or Firewall issue... if you get a Gnutella OK then you know the port is happy and the problem lies with the client. :)
