Connection aarrgghh! I was using DSL and now I am using dial-up. I have used Limewire for months and had no problems. I started to download yesterday and then I have not been able to connect since. I know the port is to be 6346 and the port says in tools/options that it is connected to 6355. I try to change it and it either freezes or says that it is unavailable. What is going on? I have over 900 files to share (mostly from my own CD's) and now I cannot even get connected. Help!?! |
Sounds like a firewall problem to me. Listening on port 6346 or 6355 makes absolutely no difference, so if LimeWire automatically sets the port to 6355 (it will only do so, if 6346-6354 are already in use) just leave it that way. |
