i'm disconnected
 

I recently installed LimeWire on my iMac, and everything seemed ok. But
everytime I go on and try to download anything, it says, "Sharing 0 files,"
and "no connections," at the bottom and I can't figure out how to get
connected. Please help!

It would be helpful if you could include some information about your setup.

You should connect to the internet before starting up LimeWire.

If you have a FireWall, you will have to persaude it to let LimeWire through.

Have you tried the "telnet router4.limewire.com 6436" test?
