Can't Connect With 2.5.5

I seem to have the same problem as everyone else. I have a Mac G4 with System 9.2.2. I connect via Cox cable (cox.net), a high speed cable modem. I use a Linksys router. This setup worked fine with the previous versions of Limewire.
I have today just installed 2.5.5 over version 2.4.3 which until now was working perfectly. No other changes to my system. This version apparently refuses to connect, button at left-bottom remains red. And unfortunately, I have erased my previous version (so confident was I!).

I have almost the exact same setup as you do--except I have a G3--with the exact same problems. Paradog's suggestion might work so try that. Here's the suggestion I used. It worked for me! (I'd make a link to the thread for you but I don't know how to do that :( )

!! - router4.limewire.com down - !!

router4.limewire.com appears to be down atm. Since this will surely cause some connections problems, here is a list of alternate quick connect hosts, you can try.

connect1.bearshare.net
connect2.bearshare.net
connect3.bearshare.net

connect1.gnutellanet.com
connect2.gnutellanet.com
connect3.gnutellanet.com
connect4.gnutellanet.com

gnutella.hostscache.com

gnet2.ath.cx:6346

HOPE THIS HELPS!!! :)

See top sticky post and/or keep trying with the 2.5.5 version. People are getting on.

Thanks

No connections with 2.5.5

Paradog's suggestion: 208.239.76.100 worked just fine.
Thanks
