won't connect

I downloaded 2.5.5 and it will only connect for a second, and then it disconnects. (i have a mac)

I been trying to connect to LIMEWIRE since last night, also, but without any success. The "SEARCH" button is gray. I don't understand, just a couple of days ago, I was able to download just fine. What gives? At the lower left hand corner, it shows a big RED dot and it says "Sharing 41 files." The banner icons are active, because they keep flashing, but yet it says that I'm not connected. I have a Mac also. Nee help would be most welcomed. My e-mail addy is Chorroli@aol.com. Thanx!

Same here, I have a Mac and just a couple days ago it was working fine. Now I get the big red dot, and when I hit connect it will for a split second and then disconnects. I thought maybe it was because I had an older version, so I got the newest one, and it still doesn't work. I decided to try iSwipe, but that won't connect to the Gnutella network either.

Did you see the #s that will connect you to Limewire? Go to Connections and in the window below type in 208.239.76.100 and add, like Greg suggests. It worked for me!
