Why can't I connect to limewire with my mac 9.1 when my partner on the other side of the desk (using the same line out ) is working perfectly? He is using os-X but we both have the latest version of Limewire. The green lamp just blink for a second.

That might be a problem with the configuration of your router...

If your network cables are long enough swap the jacks the computers plug into to see what is at fault here, the computer or the network connection.
