Hi college guy, I "sopossidly" downloaded LimeWire version 2.6 for Mac OS X and received version 2.5.5. Is there a 2.6 for OS X?

You are probably clicking on an alias that refers to the older version. Look for another alias on your desktop or in your dock, or go into the LimeWire folder and launch LimeWire from there. If you still see the previous version, completely uninstall LimeWire, delete all the icons and installers from your desktop, go back and get another installer, using your url, and reinstall.
