Question No connection

Sorry,
Same old stuff - Just installed - went to do a search - no connection.

I've been to FAQ and tried the telnet run-search thing which worked fine.

Any useful advice would be a big help,

Cheers
Vis.

Are you running a firewall or internet security program? I had some issues with Zone Alarm. I turned it off and Limewire started connecting fine. I switched to Norton Internet Security and I haven't had any more issues.

Norm, Thanks for that - but unfortunatly I've already removed the FW.

I'm using BT Broadband (ASDL) - Could that be part of the problem?

Thanks again,

Vis

Hi Vis:

I don't think the ADSL is your problem. I am also running ADSL. Except for my firewall issues I haven't encountered any connection difficulty. Most of my problems have been with Java.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Norm

Norm - Thanks for your Time.

Your right about the ASDL, I've just spoken to BT and they say it's not them and that I should try some another P2P software.

Thanks
Vis
