Connects & Disconnects To Much

I have been using LW Pro 2.7.13 because the LW Pro 2.8.5 had to many problems.

I am trying the latest LW Pro 2.8.6 and it seems like it connects and disconnects a lot. It doesn't seem to want to settle down and maintain the connections so I can build up many stats. It makes it kind of hard to obtain many searches with all the bouncing around.

Any other Mac users having this problem?

You're damn straight there is another person with this problem....Me ! This thing is killing me ! I knew that I should have stood with what worked now that I had upgraded it doesn't work.

I get connected and I can't get alot of connections going and then when I finally do I try to search for something and I get back like almost nothing. I always used to find what I was looking for and now, nothing. This really stinks ! Whatever they did to the program to make it better failed miserablely, not only didn't it get better but it is made worse than ever !

You can always roll back until something better comes along.

I'm still on 2.7.3 and that has gotten pretty bad at holding a connection as well. It's like the whole network just flaked out today.

If connections are instable it might be an indicator for a shortage of ultrapeers in the network. This problem could have been caused by LimeWire 2.8.5 which couldn't work as ultrapeer. However this problem should be solved with LimeWire 2.8.6.

I don't see many instable connections anymore after I have been connected to the network for half an hour or so.

Hey all

I am having exactly the same problem.

I have found both 2.8.5 & 2.8.6 continually disconnect - so they are both essentially unusable to me...

I am going to submit this as a bug - if I find a solution, I'll post here again

Regards
M.

I've been having the same problem. I've used LW for a long time now, but this is the worst it's ever been. All I know is that once I finally get maybe three stable connections, they all just peter out and I have to reconnect again. If it's a problem with a lack of ultrapeers, expand the ultra-peer pool people!

PRO S**CKS...9.95 for what?

Feel totally suckered. Paid $9.95 and it only got to where the only thing that happens is it says...Connecting..... then after ten seconds, Requesry Sent and nothing ever happens again.
BIG BUMMER! Uninstalling and never spending money on the net again!

WERD

That little light at the bottom... green to red, green to red... if I do get to stay connected, I can't find anything.

I just recently got cable broadband, and I figured hey, why not get the "good" stuff. No spyware, no ads, $9.30 ain't bad... what the motherf'ck was I thinking?

When I do connect, and can actually find something I want to dl3, it goes at the exact same speed as it did with their free version, on my 56k modem.

I miss audiogalaxy... I should have bought their service when they started charging.
