Can't connect
 

I can't connet to lime wire!!!! every time i hit connet nothing happens. I am am running on a g4 please help!!!!!!!

First try this simple procedure:

In LimeWire select Tools(in Mac OSX version Preferences) then select Options>Connections

Here make a check mark next to the Option Connect on start up. Then click the Apply button Then OK. Now shut down LW and then once again Re-launch it and see if it will connect.

You should be aware of that since the introduction of GWebcache and the Hashing procedure LW will take a considerable time to connect the first time it is launched after installation. And it will take more time the more files you have to share and the larger those files are. I would estimate that in average it takes about 2-3 minutes before LW will connect and the light turns green the first time it is launched.

To see if LW attempts to connect look under the Connections tab and view the connection attempts to UltraPeers.
