Can't connect for past 2 days
 

All of a sudden I havn't been able to connect for the past 2 days.

I am on a mac.

internet connection? cable
router? yes
firewall? yes
OS version? 9.2
limewire version? 2.1.1 ( I know it's old, but I like its features better)

Do I really need to upgrade to the newest version?

I've checked the current hosts stats for the past 2 days and don't see anything on them. Does that mean there isn't any activity? Is anyone connected? If you ARE CONNECTED AND DOWNLOADING, please reply.

i don't think recent limewire versions connect to old versions like 2.1.1.

i guess there have been enough old limewires around for you to connect to, but they are slowly disappearing.

2.1.1 may have features that you like, but a more recent version will definitely better connect you to the gnutella network and you will likely have better search and download results.

Help! Help! I just upgraded Limewire, and now I cannot connect. I didn't have this problem before. I am on an XP 56k modem, firewall, but the old version had no problems....

Any suggestions?

I upgraded to the latest version and so far haven't had any problems. I just tried to connect right now and had no problem.

Sorry - don't know why your having problems connecting.
