all these 'i can't connect please help' questions are really hard to answer.

can you please give some specifics like:

• what kind of internet connection do you have?( modem/dial-in, cable, dsl, corporate lan)
• are you behind a firewall?
• do you connect to the internet through a router?
• what operating system are you using, and what version?
• What version of limewire are you using?
• do you run any other programs at the same time?

once you figured out what the problem was and how to solve it, please post your solution in this forum so others can learn from it.
